Swift - Phone # and call forwarding

https://youtu.be/euwDBqaNKLc

Welcome to the Swift tutorials!

In this session, we'll cover how to add a number to your account and understand how call forwarding and statuses work on Swift.

Setting Up Your Phone Numbers

Your mobile phone number is already associated with your account after creation. To define additional phone numbers for use with Swift services, navigate to the "Phone Numbers" section.

The Smart Number

At the center of your Swift service is the smart number:

  • A single phone number that receives your business calls, faxes, and text messages.
  • Offers additional benefits, such as intelligent call filtering through a virtual assistant when you're out of the office, in a meeting, or with a customer.

Understanding Statuses

Statuses in Swift are defined by three elements: groups, filters, and call forwarding sequences.

Groups

  • Identify callers to better filter calls.
  • Create groups for customers, family, friends, etc.
  • Contacts can belong to multiple groups.

Filters

  • Direct your Evatel assistant to take calls from specific groups or only important calls.
  • In the latter case, the Evatel assistant will ask if the call is important or urgent.

Call Forwarding Sequences

  • Forward calls to one or multiple destinations simultaneously or sequentially.
  • Destinations can be internal extensions, phone numbers, colleagues, groups, or voice services.
  • Example: Calls may first go to your desk phone, and if not answered, get forwarded to voicemail or a colleague.

Now you can decide when to apply the appropriate statuses based on your needs.
