How to set holiday schedules Part 2
Welcome to part two of our tutorial on setting up holiday schedules in UBOS services. In this video, we'll walk you through the process of adding schedules to your services in UBOS.
To start, navigate to the left menu and click on "Client," then select "Business" and choose your desired business. From the top blue bar, click on "Assignments" and then "Service Assignment." Select the service you want to configure, such as BroadWorks Hunt Groups, and click on the "Service Configuration" tab. If you do not have BroadWorks Call Forwarding Selective, you can add it via the "Service Assignment" tab under the service you are editing.
Next, go back to the "Service Configuration" tab and click on "BroadWorks Call Forwarding Selective" to configure the service. Ensure that you have a default forward-to number, which can be changed at any time. For example, use 1234 as the forward-to number. Then, select the "Criteria" tab and name your schedule, such as "Out of Hours." In the time schedule box, select your named schedule, like "After Hours," and decide whether all calls will go to the default number displayed on the "General" tab or a specified number. Finally, select the "General" tab, check the "Enable" box, verify the default number for call forwarding, and press save. Your schedules are now set.
To set holiday schedules, follow the same sequence. Go to the "Service Configuration" tab, select "BroadWorks Call Forwarding Selective," and ensure that you have a default forward-to number, such as 1234. Then, select the "Criteria" tab, name your schedule (e.g., "Christmas"), and click on "Manage Holiday Schedules." Click the "Add" button, choose the "All Day Event" box, and select a start and end date for your out-of-office hours. Remember to hit save.
When creating a holiday schedule, it's mandatory to create a time schedule that is in the past, which ensures that the holiday schedule is the only event triggered. Follow the steps shown in the video, then go back to the "Criteria" tab, select your holiday and time schedules, ensure the correct forward-to default number, go to the "General" tab, click "Enable," and save. Your holiday schedules are now set.
